We're MOVING!!

That's right. The Valley of OMSK blog is coming to an end.  That's not to say we're gonna stop sharing our inspirations, inside info, and other fun stuff.  There's a new blog where you can get all the OMSK goodness.  It's at http://omsk-belgium.tumblr.com/ See you there!!

OMSK is...

We're so happy about the love that our name change has been getting, but before charging into the future we want to take a minute to remember where our inspiration comes from.

So what did we come up with? OMSK-Belgium is rooted in Russia.

We live in Belgium, but we don't forget where we came from and we bring it with us: every collection winks at Russian culture. And we're always getting great ideas there, especially for our graphic tees. 

Some of our favorite examples are:

Anton Chekhov, physician and playwright. The Russian Maupassant!

Vladimir Mayakovsky, the man that brought the streets into Russian poetry.

The cat Begemot, the right hand of Satan in Bulgakov’s masterpiece 'The Master and Margurite', we couldn't help but make our own version.

OMSK @ LONDON FASHION WEEK 2012

OMSK will be at London Fashion Week with three other belgian designers. We'll show our collections at Somerset House from the 17th until the 21st of february. Here is the cool teaser for the event.

Becoming OMSK

A new name for a clothing label with a history.

Known since 2007 under the name GIRLS FROM OMSK, our label has evolved, from ‘streetwear’ to ‘street couture’ to become what it is today: a label strongly rooted in its time proposing a blend of casual and designer wear with a fresh and accessible twist, for both women and men.

As of 2012 and with the launch of our SS12 collection YALTA, we will now be known as OMSK. Still playful and edgy, but also with a touch of elegance.

Strong prints, structured and straightforward cuts are the essence of OMSK collections. OMSK universe is about travel and Russian culture. The imagery used in OMSK collections is linked to the heritage of russian art and culture, confronted with every day western influences. Each collection is a journey to a new destination, an imaginery exploration of a city.
